Terms of Service
Last updated: July 10, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using TheInboxPilot (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. Updated Terms will be published on this page with a revised effective date.
2. Description of Service
TheInboxPilot integrates with your Gmail account to display Gmail statistics and recent message metadata, apply message actions that you select, store rules and templates, and send replies that you preview and approve.
3. Google Account Connection
To use TheInboxPilot, you must connect a Google account through Google’s OAuth 2.0 consent flow. By connecting your Google account, you grant TheInboxPilot permission to:
- Read, organize, and manage your Gmail inbox (modify scope).
- Send emails on your behalf through your Gmail account (send scope).
You may revoke these permissions at any time through your Google Account permissions page. Revoking access will immediately stop the Service from accessing your Gmail account.
4. Google API Services User Data Policy Compliance
TheInboxPilot’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google user data is used only to provide and improve the TheInboxPilot service and is not used for advertising, marketing, or any purpose unrelated to the Service.
5. User Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the security of your Google account credentials. TheInboxPilot never sees your Google password -- authentication is handled entirely through Google’s OAuth flow.
- Ensuring your use of TheInboxPilot complies with Google’s Terms of Service and all applicable laws.
- Reviewing and approving any replies or emails that TheInboxPilot sends on your behalf.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Send spam, unsolicited bulk messages, or any content that violates applicable anti-spam laws.
- Engage in any activity that violates Google’s Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy.
- Access or attempt to access another person’s Gmail account without authorization.
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
7. Billing
Subscription billing is not enabled in the current release. The Service does not collect payment details or create a paid subscription.
8. Data Handling
Our handling of your data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
9. Service Availability
We strive to keep TheInboxPilot available and reliable, but the Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access and are not liable for any damages resulting from service interruptions.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TheInboxPilot and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Termination
You may terminate your account at any time through the Settings page. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms, with or without notice. Upon termination, we will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Delaware.
